Meet the Team

With the opening of our new training facility in Brentwood, we want to introduce you to our awesome trainers. Many of you know them and will recognize their commitment, dedication and expertise in each of their stories below. They live our promise of keeping people connected when it matters most.

Ellice Fancher

I started working in 9-1-1 as a Public Safety Dispatcher in 1994 and worked in Communications Centers for 14 years. In 2004, I had the opportunity, as a Director, to create a brand-new, seven-county 9-1-1 communications center that served 67 agencies in the largest service area in Georgia. That center utilized the home of VESTA® products.

The most rewarding aspect as a Public Safety dispatcher was helping citizens through a very difficult time with patience and compassion, while getting them help as soon as possible. I have the same satisfaction as a 9-1-1 Trainer.

Since coming to Airbus DS Communications, I've trained PSAPs and our channel technicians. I train hundreds of dispatchers each year. I have the opportunity to travel across the country and internationally to help our customers better serve their citizens by using our VESTA products more effectively.

The classes I lead include our Admin and Agent classes for all of our home of VESTA products, as well as our Installation and Maintenance (technician) training for the VESTA® Analytics, VESTA® Map, VESTA® Locate and DataSync solutions. I also lead the development of our instructor guides to help our training department standardize our training delivery.

I love my job, the great people I get to meet at PSAP sites all over this country and the beautiful places I get to travel to do my job.

Bruce Todd

I have been training for over 25 years. Initially, I performed installs of the 9-1-1 equipment and then conducted the training on site. Over the past 10 years, my primary focus has been training channel technicians on our 9-1-1 systems. Today, I do the Installation and Maintenance and Troubleshooting classes for our VESTA® 9-1-1 system.

I believe this training has an impact on 9-1-1 calls and saving lives. After our training, technicians have the knowledge to resolve any equipment issues that dispatchers operating the VESTA 9-1-1 consoles and back room equipment might encounter. It's rewarding to know the training we do helps save lives.

Corey Jacobson

I have been working in Public Safety for 20 years. I started as an office technician then progressed to upgrading routers and performing 9-1-1 system installations in the field.

Today, I do the Installation and Maintenance training on our VESTA® 9-1-1 system at our Channel Partner sites and in regional areas all across the country. I conduct Operations and Maintenance training at our Federal sites in the U.S. and internationally for technicians supporting our Federal customers. I also do cutover coaching at PSAP sites. The experience I gain during this coaching applies to the Installation and Maintenance training I do, which helps everyone in the class.

The feedback I get from our Channel Partners and PSAPs and Federal customers makes me feel like I am doing a good job. When a student, brand new to 9-1-1, says at the end of our two-week class how confident they are in servicing the VESTA equipment - that means a lot. I am proud to be a part of Public Safety.

Larry Keech

I began my career with Airbus DS Communications 17 years ago in the Training department. My background in technical support, field engineering, product training, and as an entrepreneur in a start-up telecommunication business worked well to provide the knowledge, experience and people skills required of a technical trainer. The first product I taught was the MAARS/ComCentrex system and progressed over the years to include all of our legacy 9-1-1 solutions to our current VESTA 9-1-1 flagship product.

Today, I do the Channel technician training on Installation and Maintenance for our integrated Text to 9-1-1 application and Troubleshooting. I also conduct Operations and Maintenance training at Federal sites for technicians supporting our Federal customers both in the states and internationally.

The satisfaction I gain after a training class, knowing I've helped someone do their job better supporting our great product, and knowing that our product help save lives means everything. It's all about being there when the Calltaker says, "9-1-1. What is the location of your emergency?"

Thank you, Ellice, Bruce, Corey and Larry! You make a difference at the home of VESTA and for everyone you touch in Public Safety.
